In the South, we treat college football as a religion of sorts. We wear our Sunday best on Saturdays & attend tailgates with as many dishes as you'd find at a church pot-luck. Our hymns are our fight songs & reporters like Lee Corso, Lou Holtz, & Paul Finebaum preach from their pulpits. Whether you're tailgating at the Grove or in a Cockaboose, we all have one thing in common: we want to look, act, and present the best versions of ourselves. College stadiums are sacred ground & any self-respecting football fan wouldn't dare disrespect someone else's tradition (even if it's your rival team). Sportsmanship is the Golden Rule. Win, lose, or shut out.
One's team affiliation is not limited to fall, we sport our team colors year 'round. In fact, I've heard a few fraternity members claim that they even "bleed" their team colors... now while that's up for debate, one thing that I know for certain is when southern women see apparel or accessories in their team's color in the "wild" (aka at Nordstrom), they can't help but think "game day". For this very reason, I searched high & low for the perfect game day shades. Keeping your favorite teams in mind. Since game day colors are a little bit brighter than semi-precious stones that can be found naturally, I dipped into some limited vintage stones sourced from Germany. I hope you enjoy what I've put together. And if you're shopping for someone else, I included a link to a guide with color pairings to steer you into the right purchasing direction.
